Czech Premiere of the Documentary A Chip Odyssey

The Taiwanese documentary A Chip Odyssey will have its Czech premiere in Brno on Thursday, 2 April at 18:00, at Kino Lucerna.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Hsiao Chu-Chen, the feature-length documentary tells the remarkable story of how Taiwan built one of the world’s most important semiconductor industries from the ground up. Through interviews with pioneering engineers, technicians, policymakers and a new generation of innovators, the film traces a fifty-year journey that transformed a small island into a global technological powerhouse.

Drawing on rare archival materials and insights from more than 80 key figures, A Chip Odyssey reveals the human stories behind the chips that power today’s digital world—from smartphones to artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. The film highlights the courage, ambition and collective determination that shaped Taiwan’s rise at the centre of the global semiconductor ecosystem.
