Semiconductor services for your next breakthrough
We help start-ups, SMEs, students and research teams turn ideas into validated semiconductor- and microelectronics-based solutions. Czech Semiconductor Centre primarily supports teams developing technologies, products and chip-enabled systems where semiconductor technology is a key enabler — whether as the final product or as part of a broader application. Through expert guidance, infrastructure access, pilot line opportunities and the European Chips Design Platform, we help you design, test, prototype and scale with greater confidence. We also provide research-to-market and funding support.
Services
Guidance to the European Chip Design Platform
Find the right design route before you invest heavily. CSC helps users navigate design enablement, EDA tools, IP, design kits and MPW routes through a one-stop platform. We help translate your application need into a clearer technical path and connect you with suitable design expertise or training.
Access to European Pilot Lines
Move from lab to fab with expert guidance. CSC helps you understand which European pilot line or prototyping infrastructure may fit your technology, maturity level and intended application. We support you in clarifying technical requirements, preparing project information and connecting with relevant facilities and partners.
Technical consulting and prototyping support
Get expert input across the semiconductor and microelectronics value chain, with a strong focus on pre‑competitive technical consulting and technology orientation. CSC supports semiconductor‑ and microelectronics‑related startups and SMEs, including chip‑enabled instrumentation, FPGAs and embedded‑system‑based platforms, advanced electronic subsystems and system integration. Areas of expertise include analogue, mixed‑signal and digital IC design, FPGA and embedded systems, RISC‑V, power semiconductors, SiC and other wide‑bandgap technologies, lithography, cleanrooms, materials characterisation, functional testing, reliability analysis, packaging and systems engineering.
Training and micro-credentials
Build skills that match real industry needs. CSC training includes micro-credentials routes in areas such as sensors and actuators, analogue and digital integrated circuit design, analogue IC testing, RISC-V, rapid prototyping and many others (find more details below). All training and micro‑credentials are designed as pre‑competitive, stackable learning modules, aligned with European competence and skills frameworks, and real industry needs.
Research-to-market and funding support
Turn technical potential into a stronger business case. CSC supports idea validation, value proposition, business model, market and customer analysis, legal and organisational setup, financial planning, investment readiness, intellectual property, technology transfer, go-to-market strategy and access to relevant public and private funding routes. We help semiconductor startups and SMES grow.
What can we help you solve?
Is my semiconductor idea technically feasible, and what should I validate first?
Which design tools, IP, design kits or MPW route should I consider?
Can I access a cleanroom, nanofabrication facility, test laboratory, packaging partner or pilot line?
How do I prepare my project for the pan-European design platform or a European pilot line?
Which training or micro-certification would help me or my team build the right skills?
How can I make my start-up, spin-off or SME project more attractive for grants, investors or industrial partners?

Frequently asked questions
Who can use CSC services?
Our main users are start-ups, SMEs, students, educators, researchers and teams developing or adopting semiconductor-based technologies. Those based in EU Member States and participating countries of the Chips Joint Undertaking. CSC primarily supports teams developing semiconductor‑ and microelectronics‑based technologies and products, including chip‑enabled systems and also applications where semiconductor technology is a key enabler rather than the final product. CSC does not replace commercial design houses, foundries or manufacturing service providers, but helps users navigate and connect within the European semiconductor ecosystem.
Do I need previous semiconductor experience?
No. Many users come to CSC with an application challenge rather than a complete chip design brief. We help you clarify the technical path and identify what expertise, training or infrastructure is needed.
Can CSC give me direct access to pilot lines?
CSC helps you prepare for and navigate access to European pilot lines and relevant prototyping infrastructure. Actual access depends on the rules, capacity, eligibility and technical scope of the specific facility.
Can you help with funding?
Yes. CSC supports orientation in public and private funding routes through business development and innovation advisory services, including European grant programmes and investor-readiness support. CSC acts as a neutral facilitator and advisor and does not take ownership of technologies, intellectual property or commercial relationships established between participating parties.
We are your breakthrough guide
Whether you are building a chip-enabled product, validating a prototype, searching for design support, preparing for a pilot line or developing your semiconductor skills, CSC can help you take the next step. We offer semiconductor services for your next breakthrough.
