NFO18 – the 18th International Conference on Near-Field Optics, Nanophotonics and Related Techniques

Following NFO3 in 1995, we are honored to host this prestigious event in Brno once again. Brno is an academic and technology hub, home to several universities (with over 80,000 students), research institutes and high-tech companies. Notably, it hosts three major electron microscope manufacturers, whose combined output accounts for about one-third of the world’s total production. This unique position makes our city an ideal venue for discussions on the latest advances in near-field optics and other related nanophotonic domains, including novel materials, and nanofabrication technologies. A special attention will be given to an emerging field combining near-field optical and electron-beam techniques. 

The NFO Summer School preceding the conference (August 30), will offer hands-on workshops, specialized tutorials, and valuable networking opportunities  for early-career researchers. NFO18 itself will bring together specialists from academia and industry to exchange ideas and foster collaborations in a welcoming, focused environment.
