We invite you to join an Information and Matchmaking Workshop dedicated to the upcoming Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU) 2026 call on photonics.

Funding Call Overview

The HORIZON-JU-Chips-2026-FT2-IA call focuses on reinforcing Europe’s leadership in photonics through innovation-driven projects.

  • Funding type: Innovation Action (IA)
  • EU budget: €20 million (with additional national co-funding)
  • Expected projects funded: 2
  • Submission deadline: 17 September 2026

Selected projects are expected to deliver industrial-grade demonstrators of advanced photonic technologies, demonstrating scalability, reliability and integration readiness at TRL 7–8.

  • Scaling of wafer-level photonic processes
  • Development of packaging and testing solutions
  • Integration of heterogeneous materials and components
