The Director of the Czech Semiconductor Center, Karel Masarik, joined Governor Jan Grolich’s official delegation to Munich and Nuremberg, where they explored opportunities for international cooperation in key technological fields. As part of the program on November 10th and 11th, the delegation visited the Bayerisches Chip-Design-Center (BCDC), operating within Fraunhofer Institute, one of Europe’s leading applied research institutes. The group also toured JOSEPHS – The Open Innovation Lab, a unique space focused on user-centered innovation and collaboration between research, industry, and startups.
During the meetings, representatives discussed potential partnerships in semiconductor technologies, cybersecurity, and startup support—areas of strategic importance for both regions. Strengthening ties across European innovation hubs could pave the way for joint initiatives and enhanced cooperation. “In the future, we could create a close-knit group of European regions that are strong in this area and will jointly promote important steps on the part of the EU,” Governor Grolich shared on Instagram.
