As we close 2025, I am proud to reflect on a year that marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Czech Republic in semiconductors.

This year, we established the Czech Semiconductor Centre with a clear purpose: to help position Czechia as a relevant and trusted player in Europe’s semiconductor future. We built our founding team, set the foundations of our operations, and—most importantly—began connecting industry, research, startups, and public institutions around a shared long-term vision.

The momentum behind semiconductors in Czechia is real and growing. The continued commitment of onsemi as a member of our European-funded consortium, together with the European Commission’s approval of the expansion of semiconductor manufacturing in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, represents a historic milestone. It is the largest foreign investment in modern Czech history—and a strong signal of confidence in our country’s capabilities, talent, and strategic role within Europe.

But this year was about more than one project. Across the Czech semiconductor ecosystem, we see increasing activity in chip design, advanced manufacturing, automotive and defence applications, and research excellence. These developments show that Czechia can contribute across the value chain, not only as a manufacturing location, but as an innovation-driven partner.

Looking to 2026, our ambition is to turn potential into measurable impact. The Czech Semiconductor Centre will focus on accelerating innovation, supporting talent and skills, enabling startups, and strengthening cooperation with European and global partners. Our goal is clear: to help build a resilient, competitive semiconductor ecosystem that delivers long-term value for Czechia and for Europe.

Thank you to all our partners who believe in this vision and help turn it into reality.

I wish you a peaceful Christmas and a successful New Year 2026.
